We agree there that Shuri remains the BP during the multiverse saga and beyond that to be honest I don't know why I'm even engaging in this conversation because I don't care about that child lol!

And what folks forget while they sneak in here to lecture and troll is the number of showings these films get.
When I mentioned showing of this movie are stopping at least where I live-I was told I was wrong.
Well it seems like I am NOT wrong as showings are being cut.
It wasn't December 6 but the 7th. December 8 only has 9 showings at 3 locations and NONE are in the black community or a mall.
Strange World has 12 at 5 locations.
Looks like Disney is getting ready for Avatar 2 a bit early. Which makes no sense because there are 7 days still out there.
So it got 6 days if other theaters are going through what mine are with the movie.
The bad optics was releasing everything T'Challa before releasing Wakanda Forever stuff.T'Child isn't being aged up but even if he will what are they going to do with Shuri? The optics will be bad either way.
Well he will think that when he as seen others and even he has gotten away with it.It’s also on Feige for thinking he can feed an audience what HE wants and they’ll just eat it up. The AUDIENCE decides who the stars are.
Fiege sat up and took a collection of guys-Carol, GOTG, T'Challa, Ms Marvel, Winter Soldier, Falcon, Scarlet Witch and others who do not have over 300+ solo books or have been shoved in our faces or had A list talent and made tons of money with them.
This right here is a huge case of not thinking big picture.
Nothing is wrong with Shuri in that suit. It's thinking she can be it long term is the issue. Especially when she is a better seller as herself (outside of comics).
Set this during the blip-let her be BP. T'Challa returns in BP 3 and OPEN the door for a solo Shuri movie as herself. Now you have 2 movies instead of 1.
The MCU Killmonger Black Panther suit looked Leopard inspired with stripes of gold. Thinking about it now with each BP movie there is a new Panther.

Ahhhhhhh, thanks for putting up an image
Yeah I can see the similarities since they both have a gold theme though Shuri's habit is astonishingly way more complex
I can see Black Panther is one of those costumes that works best when its relatively simple and if you try to add too much detail and armor pieces it winds up an ugly mess like the Flash post New 52 and in the upcoming Suicide Squad game
Other than that Marvel Legends Riri figure and the Okeye doll-I am not seeing that stuff moving as fast as it did with the first movie or some of the Legend of BP toys that came out before the movie.
Also I suspect there is merch made that has not been placed at every store.
So if it's not doing well in sales-it's not a shock to me-because we are talking about a female lead movie. You are trying to sale products that are female centric to everyone. Including toys.
That is NOT going work with boys no matter how many times you put them in ads with dolls or figures.
Wonder Woman and Cap Marvel had the same issues. Along with the WWE Divas-whose figures forever shelf warm.
Also they waited too long to toss out that stuff. Because there is too much competition.
Into the Spiderverse 2 toys are already on the shelf and that stuff seems to be selling.
Black Adam is still on shelves and new Mafarlane figures are coming.
Power Rangers, He-Man, TMNT and Transformers got some new stuff.
Thinking back on it it should have been clear the movie would have had a dip. It was probably going to dip with T'Challa returning as well.
No Avengers film after
Long run time
Certain caucasian audiences checked out on this storytelling (Colonization politics over just superhero escapism)
Then add in mid 80s RT score (in a year of other disappointing scores)
Marvel fatigue
No China box office
Covid has got some black people never going to theaters. Let alone in a crowded room for 3 hrs.
I'll say it again as I said it before. Marvel was banking on Dr. Strange being a 1.3 billion dollar movie. Thor being a billion dollar (longest remaining avenger, etc) movie. Its why they were in no rush to recast cause they had other sure fire hits lined up.
If they knew what reception they'd get for other movies they would hav recast. Still...it probably barely cracks a billion with T'Challa. The first film was truly dependent on US audiences making a cultural hit.
