Man I’ve been having trouble keeping up with the MCU shows past Loki. I don’t have the energy to finish Moon Knight and I’m gonna try to watch Ms. Marvel since she’s one of my favorites. But on the film side of things, the only must see for me is Blade (because Mahershala is that guy). Other than that the no recast thing bummed me out on the whole universe.

One thing that pisses me off is the fact that the character that most people are excited about isn't even fully part of BP's rogue gallery and that's Namor.
The way Grace Randolph was just talking about how Namor will be the highlight of the film once the trailer is released goes to show you the direction they are willing to take in order to distract us from remembering the main hero of the franchise.
Absolutely disgusting
Remember the words used by the cast and people involved themselves "You can tell the gap of Chad's absence" by Freeman, and Winston "Ryan tells a Harrowing tale" by Danai. And now Freeman's current interview in which he struggles to come up with anything positive to say, and ends up saying something that bodes unwell for the sequel based on body language and choice of words. The man is tempering expectations.
Plus the stuff from Snake Moore and then one of the people on set replying to the blog made about the importance of recasting where Chad's niece supported it too.
All these things don't spell box office hit. Quite the opposite. And it's a shame we have to witness such BS after waiting YEARS some people their entire lives to see T'Challa on the big screen, all to be wiped away and him pushed aside for essentially OCs that don't have a tenth of the social and historical relevance he has
And in African culture she would have got slapped like a mothereffer fot such disrespect to her senior brother. It amazes me since 1998 the BP franchise has adopted a lot of Nigerian influences from language to names and yet the cultural discipline is lacking. The last real African thing I rambert in the comics was T'Chaka reprimanding some fool for calling him by his 1st name and in the MCU it was T'Challa's line to Cap about how long he can keep Bucky safe from him. The IP is now majorly effed.
On this front, Shuri whining about her corset during the tribal challenge did make me cringe a bit, it felt... off. M'baku was right to call her out about it.
(and now shes gonna be queen and BP lol. The 16 year old with fear in her eyes when the Jabari walked in. LOL)
