    Feel like I am missing something with the Boseman story since I don't Twitter

    Not trying to disparage Ridley but is he not aware his comic is mid? Are the editors not aware it’s mid?
    I don't think they really care as long as sales are above a certain point until they see what the movie is doing. Then they will pivot for a few years

    Basically since Chadwick died without a will, his wife is in charge of his estate and she agreed to split his wealth between her and Chadwick’s parents. The kicker is that Chadwick’s estate was only worth a mere $3-4 million dollars. And apparently $900k has already been spent on lawyers and legal fees.

    ......

    None of that makes any real sense. Did he burn all his money on cancer treatments or something? His percentage of the profits from BP alone would be more than that.

    good on his wife to support the parents though

    The new 2099 BP is named T'Shamba. Seems like he might be a cool character and he demonstrated two abilities that differentiates him from T'Challa spoilers:
    what looked like repulsor beams and he can regenerate loss limbs
    end of spoilers

    Mid is way too generous. It's low tier. Jist a little above Coates bottom tier

    That last part really depends if his contract was written to receive back end money from movie profits, we take for granted that everyone might not get those Harrison Ford, Tom Cruise type of deals with negotiations.

    Are we sure he got a %?

    Marvel typically pays actors under a million dollars at first and then pays them big money later.

    He might have only got a 200,000 for Infinity War and Endgame combined.

    Interesting thread. Not sold on NFT's, but the points made are interesting (just only posted a couple tweets from the thread.

    $2,300,000 is 1.15% of the budget ($200m) of Black Panther, and that's his net worth overall.

    Black Panther made at least $1.2 billion in Net Profit.

    Billion.

    Let's see what Chadwick would have earned on The LMO Structure for Tokenomics.

    The infrastructure use-case for NFTs.

    @theKimansta
    Assuming he wouldn't sell any of his 3,055 to an eager fan, he'd be paid 0.3055% of the net profit generated by Black Panther (2018), for as long as the asset generates a net profit.

    $1,200,000,000 in earnings to date...

    0.3055% of $1.2b is $3.6m.

    @theKimansta
    This means Chadwick would have been paid $3.6m in addition to his negotiated contract, which was likely around $1m-$1.5m.

    His net worth would be over $5m, today.

    He would have benefited from the success of Black Panther (2018) in ways tradition doesn't have room for.

    Marvel should donate at least a million dollars to the Boseman family once its concluded its box office imo...

    You'd think they would listen with the title being constantly lambasted and it only makes adequate sales at best. Like even if it doesn't sell as much you still want the good publicity from positive reception.

    It's the difference between Jeremy Adam's Flash which may not be a top seller but is acclaimed and beloved while Aquamen sales are mid and it's being labeled a joke of a series with all discussion focusing on the herorizing of Black Manta.

    The xmen interaction was tame and just a retread. Ewings just working with continuity like he’s always done. Ridley is the one that created these "issues" kinda sad that Ewing has to entertain them.

    T’Challa is stepping down from emperor. The formality of being king is gone, removed as leader of the Avengers… Where is Ridley going with this?

    The spy network was Hunter’s thing anyways. Hunter who’s orchestrating this debacle and has yet to show up in Ridley’s plodding book but is making cameos in captain america

    Paving the way for putting the character on the sidelines for Shuri once the movie confirms the direction it is heading.

    Marvels getting ready to sideline T’Challa for the movies. He’s being marginalized and insulted out of his kingdom, the space stuff looks like it’s gonna be a one-off, and he’s a background player in the Avengers for the foreseeable future (though he does seem to have a starring role in the upcoming All Out Avengers book, not sure if it’s in continuity).

    It might be an editorial directive. I imagine we’ll be getting more spin-offs and pushes for the supporting characters due to BP2 so Marvel may want to get T’Challa out the way by having him doing small adventures abroad in his measly solo.
