At this point Marvel is gonna put their wings around him and protect him from any kind of real criticism for T'Challa role, and erasure. I think dude should have never been given what was a golden opportunity to bring T'Challa on screen. He makes me ill!

I wouldn't take it that far. I think more than anything, Coogler didn't fully grasp or appreciate ALL of what makes T'Challa such a great character.

I feel, like many others, he probably let himself believe that making T'Challa, a Strong black man, have all the traits and characteristics he has in the comics, might of turned people off from the character, and maybe he too had his own personal biases that kept him form fully realizing T'Challa as a character.

Hence why he connected so well with Kilmonger and made his angle such a poignant and powerful, albeit misguided motivation.
Coogler left much to be desired for T'Challa, but I am not going to act as though anybody could of done what he did with the same results.

I think the problem is like the interviewer said, there was too much focus on the female SUPPORTING cast driving the plot in more clear and direct ways while T'Challa was left coming off as too passive and set in maintaining the status quo, rather than being the aggressively progressive character we know him as. Which means that because he isn't in the sequel, this issue, which would of been overall minor if we got a more comic accurate T'Challa in BP2, will now be a more glaring stain due to the loss of Chad and as such, T'Challa.

Harrison Ford reportedly is or was Marvel’s top choice to star as General Ross in ‘THUNDERBOLTS’.

He is not currently cast in the film but it’s unclear if he’s already passed on the role.
