I'm concerned with the franchise as a whole. Like I genuinely question if the BP franchise will actually have a trilogy. They seem to be doing a lot of firsts with this particular IP

Which makes it wild that Feige/Nate Moore (well..maybe not Nate) would sign off on this being the movie to "honor Chadwick"

They want to have their cake and eat it too. Honor Boseman and "explore the many subcultures of Wakanda" but yea here's Namor, here's Riri, here's the scenes we're filming OUTSIDE of Wakanda, etc etc etc

Then throw in the rumored T'Challa child. And its like if after season 1 of Daredevil they said "You know what? Lets make this show more like Gotham"

They are going to honor Chad though. They will name drop him a few times, make some off hand lines about how he accomplished something off screen that made "Waves" or whatever, then they will have Shuri say something insulting like "I will continue what my brother started" or some other nonsense that doesn't even match the character then keep it moving. All the while pretending this was the best way to honor him while accomplishing their real goal Which was removing T'Challa

So the solicits for issue 8 out in August.

Ceded command, for what? It's just the HZ, why would he need to leave the leadership to other people? It's not even a revolution on multiple fronts, it shouldn't be that hard to deal with.

Yet show up every Wednesday to buy that book.

And in some case take out their frustrations on Inhumans, Jace Fox (Can't read about Bruce Wayne before Jace has a book), Duke Thomas (ruin Tim Drake), Synch (Stole from Rogue), Teen Lantern (ruined Green Lantern franchise) and anyone else of color for why those crappy things keep happening.

You buy crap-you are going to get CRAP.

If this movie turns out to be nothing more than a stealth launch for other folks and it's a hit. Except Black Panther 3 to do the same. Heck we might get Aliens or Predator in that film.

They’ll probably use it to be a stealth movie for characters that ain’t even part of the franchise and bank on folks to probably show up anyway because Marvel is seemingly under the delusion that Wakanda or Blackness is the protagonist.

This is just a confusing mess at this point.

I think Ridley’s setting up the story so T’Challa gets exiled from Wakanda for a bit to atone for his secrets. He’s getting blamed for everything going on so when the mess with the HZ is settled he may agree to leave Wakanda, leading to his new space adventure with the Avengers.

That could also set up the Warriors of Wakanda title, assuming that’s even happening anymore. That could focus on the stuff going on in Wakanda with Shuri and the Dora Milaje while Ridley uses the BP book for more classic-feeling superhero adventures. He’s said in interviews he wanted to explore T’Challa’s impact across various parts of the Marvel universe so him being in exile would play into that. But yea, this arc has been weak and convoluted.

That could also set up the Warriors of Wakanda title, assuming that’s even happening anymore. That could focus on the stuff going on in Wakanda with Shuri and the Dora Milaje while Ridley uses the BP book for more classic-feeling superhero adventures. On a hopefully happier note . . . this week, the latest Spider-Man 2099: Exodus issue gives us Avengers 2099 --- including a new Black Panther 2099 that I hope turns out better than Marvel Knights 2099's Black Panther.

I would be very happy with that. I've said that T'Challa should just go off on his own and let Wakanda handle itself. Let him be on the Avengers or some other high profile team full-time or have him do his own thing in his solo.

At some point, Wakanda will realize why they really need him as king and want him back.

Hell I hope they also do the warriors of wakanda spin-off too.

With T'Challa out they will have completely removed any sort of safety net and thus the book will have to support itself solely on Black Panther supporting characters.

I'm sure it will go just as fine as their last attempts at that..... XD
