No wonder Wakanda is shifting to a democracy, T'Challa can't stop using his absolute power to punch Wakandans in the face! /Eyeroll

In the second season he fights the true Wakandans responsible for giving the petty human Wakandans a leg up, the Originators. T'Challa has spent over half a decade slaughtering his own people rather than looking outward or making actual changes to his kingdom.

As much hate as Jason Aaron gets for Thor and The Avengers(I actually like them both), I'd enjoy the hell out a solo BP by him. At least we would get some over the top antics. Even if he puts T'Challa through hell, some good stuff will come out of it overall.

I would take JA just to get some variety... Redjack pitched a call back to SwaD... And Marvel when with punching Wakandans for 6 years with rape camps, meeting with dictators, force gender inequality, and two no Wakandans becoming apart of the Wakandan pantheon of gods, one of which actively killed the people of Wakanda and was an enemy of the state...

The Tribal Council had some power in other runs. Plus, then you can introduce the differing clans/religions/tribes of the region. And keep Wakanda unique while still giving "the people" more of a voice.

British-izing Wakanda is just.... gross. Ahhh yes, lets make Wakanda ,the untouched anticolonialist country... just like the biggest colonizer in ever! Perfect.

    Bruh lolololol

Coates started it. This is all Coates fault.

Ridley is polishing a turd but it isn't even a turd. Just diarrhea.

Freakin people screaming "omg Wakanda elects by a fight wtf this is ridiculous"

Yet Asgards system is Thor going, "im sick of this ****, I was king for about 20 mins and im done, hey valkryie, you dipped out on your people for like a thousands years, no one here knows who you even are, your whole race of people is a myth.... you be queen... I mean king! because asguardian gods now use 2022 pronoun politics!"

    and no one cares lol
Yeah, what I would have preferred for Wakanda would have been a “Yoruba style monarchy”.

Yes there’s a king but he doesn’t have absolute power because he’s accountable to the high chiefs (Ijama). The king (Oba) also performs as the chief priest of his people which is already in line with BPs depiction. Even if they don’t want to keep Wakanda as an absolute monarchy whatever it changed to should have been built on traditional African structure and philosophy.

The idea of importing western style democracy and treating as ideal in a successful, never been colonized African kingdom is wrong on many, many levels that I don’t want to go into right now. Coates really, really screwed up with that and frankly he deserved the criticism he got for that.

Solo wise, he seems to have more control over his zany impulses and scatterbrain tendancies. Other than Dr Strange anyway. And his "zany," even at its worse, is still better than political boredom.

You are also guaranteed like 3 years worth of comics at least.

Thor fans do love to whine about JaneThor, but even if you hate her to the core, he still wrote 2 years worth of Thor before he transitioned.

Plus he is usually given great artist... give me Ribic! lol

But yeah ,this ain't happening, if it was gonna happen it would have been when BP was popular. You don't waste aaron at this point on a C lister unless he just wants too. He's one of the few people at Marvel that still has a name.

I mean, look at Season 1 this way...

The king, leader of the BP tribe had a group of women warriors trained by the BP clan itself.

These group of women warriors waltzed into the Jabari lands and SLAUGHTERED THEM and took it.

The other tribes would be pulling up to the Golden City going "yo WTF man?"

I wouldn't call T'Challa C list. He is solidly B Lister status. 2016 he was like B+ - on his way to A- status, but then got frakked by Coates and RL tragedy. But someone like JA or Ewing who's got skin in the game could bring him up. And then Redjack could stabilize hom and get him past this valley he is stuck in.

This is all a pipe dream bow unfortunately. Once BP 2 drops and Buries T'Challa, we are going to drop into some TRUE dark ages

Man I just don’t know with this franchise anymore tbh. It’s like I just want to up and leave it behind since I know the movie is going to have a detrimental impact on T’Challa but at the same time I feel that if I don’t keep supporting the recast movement then no one else is going to fight for this character. And I wouldn’t be feeling this way if Marvel wasn’t so obsessed with synergy.

Luckily? Marvel or big 2 comics in general are also obsessed with the status quo.

Which is/was the same thing holding back T'challa in the first place lol.

So, the thing holidng T'challa back will likely be the same thing that keeps him around.

I 100% expect T'chalal put ont he back burner in some way come movie time.

I also 100% expect him to be put back "where he belongs" in X number of years once the experiment fails, again.
