What are everyone's favourite Defender story/stories?
Nebulon, I believe was the Defenders Magneto/ Dr. Doom/ Kang. But they also had the Headman. The Emissaries of Evil were supposed to be their "Masters of Evil". And, as I've said before, the Six Fingered Hand is, for me, the high point for the series, though they ended up just being a bunch of minor demons (however, I'm sure the great name could be used again, but with some major enemies of the individual DEFENDERS). Mostly the Defenders used to face one shot mystical menaces or some big adversary of the individual Defenders or of the greater MU. Even Professor Power and the Secret Empire, the New Defenders first major challange, had their start elsewhere (Marvel Team-Up and Captain America). But they did give us Manslaughter.

As for my favorite Defenders stories, The SixFingered Hand. The Guardians of the Galaxy saga. Nebulon and the Squadron Sinister. Gerber's HUGE Headman saga. The Scorpio / LMD Zodiac Cartel. The Overmind / Squadron Supreme. The Professor Power / Secret Empire!

    Peace

The Original Series was sooooo good, I wish we would get 10 "lost stories" from between issues 4 and 50!

Add ten more between 92 and 123...
And then ten more between 125 and 142...

The Overmind/Squadron Supreme story is my favourite. I'm not a huge Defenders fan or anything, but that was a great story.

I'd probably view the latter stories better -- if there had been better art. Sinnott inking Perlin was a snooze fest -- and completely inappropriate for the Six-Fingered hand story. Any issue inked by Klaus Janson was great.

I liked the first dozen or so issues the best. I did like the 92-109 run, but not as much. Those last few dozen or so issues I did not care for, but would be happy to see some new story from that time.

The only part of the final run I enjoyed was Moondragon. The X-Men weren't written very well -- and Manslaughter, Cloud, and Sassafras (the dog) all annoyed me.

Yes, I enjoyed Moondragon too. I wish she was in more things.

    spoilers:
Looks like those who suggested that those primordial beings of light and darkness could be the "ancestors" of Sentry and the Void were right.
    end of spoilers

Not that interested in the Sentry and Void stuff, but overall, I've really enjoyed this book. The art really sells the sheer Defenders magic quirkiness.
Namor the Sub-Mariner, Marvel's oldest character, will have been published for 85 years in 2024. So where's my GOOD Namor anniversary ongoing, Marvel?

Apparently there's a teaser in the last issue of Defenders that comes out today.

I guess it sold well enough, and I'm hoping we get the same creative team.
