Finally making the time for more art! This was supposed to be a quick sketch to start my day but it's Jean so...yea it got out of hand. Here for this costume, here for this hair, here for Jean leading the next #XMen squad! #JeanGrey
Jean Grey in the words of Walt Whitman, from his masterpiece Leaves of Grass, "Song of Myself" (51 and 52):
"Do I contradict myself? Very well then I contradict myself, (I am large, I contain multitudes.)"
"Failing to fetch me at first keep encouraged, Missing me one place search another, I stop somewhere waiting for you."

Like a Red Dragon, The Phoenix shall Soar in 2024!
I want to see Jean jack up at least one Eternal.

To appease those losing their minds about the increasing prominence of women, people of color, and lgbtq people in the superhero genres not only as characters but in terms of the creative staff behind the scenes. It should be noted in the 70s and 80s it was the norm for superhero teams to be all straight white save a token woman or a token Black.
Speaking off, I think Jean’s friendship with Storm never evolved beyond them being friends because they were the only two women in the team. Which is not enough. Serious work needs to be done in that. Or the writers can just forget their friendship, which is what they have done. I’m fine with that too.
