Yeah, he died in Spider-Geddon. After that Anya returned to Earth-616 and Spider-Zero and Spiderling took over their duties. Presumably this new Spider-UK is his successor... a gender swapped Miles, maybe?

Considering the original Spider-UK was William "Billy" Braddock, also a Captain Britain and presumably related to the Braddock family in his universe, I'd guess the second Spider-UK would be related to someone from the Captain Britain Corps or mythos as well.

So it looks like this is more or less continuing Gwen's story.

There's nobody black in the Captain Britain family. Maybe an Asian if you count Kwannon/Psylocke, whose body Betsy inhabited for a long time. But no blacks.

Wasn't so much referring to the Braddock family directly or literally, more so about the Captain Britain Corps and overall mythos, since there were potential successors unrelated to Brian or Betsy Braddock in later comics that featured versions or variants of Captain Britain. If anything, I'd almost expect this Spider-UK to be related to Faiza Hussain, who wielded Excalibur at one point and was the Captain Britain featured in Al Ewing's Secret Wars tie-in mini, Captain Britain and the Mighty Defenders --- which also featured a version of the Prowler that took after his world's Spider-Man to honor his memory after his death.

This was announced in December of 2021 back when Beyond was still running, but still, Marvel's timing with Chasm could not have been any worse with this out
