Michael Jai White in the Blade armor

The J-man
finally finished the game. So they did make a couple of interesting changes to Blade, it does seem like he identifies as being younger despite being one of the older heroes. I'm still thinking about that comment that he "feels 20 something" but that might just be around where his slowed aging as him at. Also I'm curious about the decision to say he's from Harlem. I guess it justified that Michael Jai White voice acting, but why not go with Detroit like in the movies? Loved the comic references! I caught the reference to the Morbius bite (the retconned version), his fight against the were roosters from Mighty Avengers, and his upbringing with Jamal Afari.
Would've loved to see one of his enemies thrown in there. He didn't feel as tied to anyone they fought.
Cursed Venom - Spiderman
Crossbones - Captain America
Cursed Sabertooth - Wolverine
Cursed Wanda - Nico and Magik
Johnny Blaze (I guess) - Robbie
Mephisto - Magik
Cursed Hulk - Ironman
I guess that's why they decided on throwing Blade and Captain Marvel together, those two are the only ones without other emotional stakes in the game. I guess it makes sense though, the only one of his enemies with any popularity other than Dracula is Morbius, and they decided to make him an add-on.
On the comics side of things, while I still have liked the stories that have come out of Blade and the vampire state, it does sort of feel like Aaron stuck him over there away from everything else. Feels weird for his Avengers arc to be ending with no real hint that Blade will be relevant (even though there's still that thread from Heroes Reborn). The Midnight Suns book continues to be fun though. Seems like he's going to keep that unbreakable axe.
