The J-man
So Blade is gonna be Nick Fury officially then. I'm wondering if we'll hear his voice in Strange and Moon Knight too.
Do you all want to pitch stories since it looks like Blade is in limbo again, at least until his movie comes out...
I think a cool premise would be a faction of vampire mutants that reside in Chernobyl who Dracula uses as a sort of x-force around the world. Blade wants to kill them, but because of their dual citizenship, Krakoa won't allow him too. It'd be cool to have Blade in direct conflict with Krakoa, all masterminded by Dracula. Could make it a Blade centered story, or could open it up to be more geopolitical, since Blade has the authority of the UN.
I would love to see Blade interacted with Jubilee, and see she's no longer vamp. and he's like "Huh? I guess I was wrong about that" or "You one of the lucky few".
wait Jubilee is still a vampire? thought that got retconeed
if so she got to go then.
Krakoa's got to much going on while its still standing. The Wolverine story arc concluded, with them dismissing vamps like it wasn't a big deal. I'd rather have Blade and vampires in a story where they are given equal footing. Krakoa's this Utopia where character's don't even die anymore
The J-man
That's why I'd love a good writer to build up chernobyl, because there's no reason a state of vampires with thousands of years of experience with tech/magic couldn't be just as formidable.
We did see two mini plotlines of them driving to harvest superhero blood, but those went nowhere. The only dangling thread is that they're somehow involved with Mephisto's plan.
You think Ukraine invasion will affect the story about the Vampire Nation and Blade going forward. That the fictional Marvel U Russian government or Red Guard will make a deal with the vampires to leave Chernobyl as it is unless something drastic happened in real life that is impossible to ignored if you want to go for "the world outside your window."
A nice breakdown on Blade's backstory so far

Oh nice, they're finally giving us an update on Blades future. We didn't have to wait too long:

It'll probably be in the Avengers/Xmen/Eternals issue
As a Sheriff of Vampire Nation?

I guess. They've laid out a few plotlines they could pick up.
I think Dracula has been trying to harvest superhero blood but has failed twice (with wolverine and she-hulk).
There's that whole vampire dimension that was established by the x-men.
and Dracula has something to do with the Mephisto plotline in Avengers
He played that well haha excited for the show
