I think that Keli got some hate simply because Bendis created her.
This.....
And resentment that the last five he had a hand in or either created- are boasting a tv show (Naomi, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Riri) or expanded a franchise-Miles Morales.
Oscar winning movie and 4 shows and a video game. That is way more than some writers who are worshiped around here.
Per Green Lantern's Light on Twitter, John will be in the DC Mech series.
Yes in terms of who was being used.
Johns for the most part in his career has used fan favorites and those many would not be bothered with getting used in other media adaptations.
Johns had the projects that attracted too many cooks into the kitchen and he had to answer to many of them to varying results.
Bendis didn't have those issues to a point. Aside from Miles-Jessica, Luke and the others did not have to worry about someone asking "where is blank at?"
A GL film is going to have folks asking where is John and now Jo, Jessica and Simon.
Do you mean that Todd's fate was voted on? That is absolutely true. Plantly of proof and documentation. If you mean that someone set up a machine to call in votes to kill Todd and that's what tipped the balance? I believe it's a case of 'near impossible to prove one way or the other.'

There is truth to what you say.
For me personally, its been the way Bendis has introduced and then instantly promoted these new characters.
I'm probably just old, but it used to be that new characters had a cameo/guest star in a main series, developed in their own spin-off series/storyline depending on how popular their reception was, and then become the featured star in big team/crossover events. Bendis seems to have short circuited this by skipping the development part of it. The pro is that less popular characters can have a chance to flourish instead of never getting a spin-off series. But the con is that these characters aren't developed all too well.
Miles followed this track, and feels like a fully fleshed out character. Teen Lantern and Naomi feel paper-thin by contrast.
