If John Stewart is to have a kid in mainline continuity, I would rather the child be his and Katma Tui's, and was created in a test tube by mixing John and Katma's DNA. Maybe the Star Sapphire's or Carol is attempting to atone for past mistakes or one of Katma had family members who wanted her back in some way.

John could try and tutor the kid and even reconnect him to his earthly roots which would be a good way canonize the Lynn Stewart as his sister.

the problem with Warhawk is the main DCU doesn't (and won't) include a romance between Shayera and John so he cannot exist in that form. There's a version where he could have had a kid with Katma Tui who then grew up to be Warhawk but even that is doubtful at this point.

Like all super-heroes, John needs his own narrative, conflicts, rogues, loves and, yes, potentially, offspring.

Yeah, it's sad, because there are some fans who like that pairing. I just wished DC capitalized on it from the JL/JLU. It's a shame DC won't do it. But at least DC sort of tried the romantic pairing in the one-shot issue when McDuffie's widow wrote the issue (which I enjoyed). That Hawkgirl wasn't Shayera, but it was as close as it can get, compared to the cartoon. But I think there is a reason why they won't do it.

I like these variants, the artist makes every character look so distinct. I’d swear it’s almost like someone put a filter on a cosplay shoot.
