Not in live-action, especially since DC is the "dark" comic book movie franchise. I imagine if we did see him, he'd be so radically different. I could see something like an evil version of 007's Q, where the "Toyman" is a sobriquet for making a lot of gizmos.

I'm also feeling a bit jaded since Man of Steel where I also think a dark turn on a character like Toyman would be cause a lot of handwringing among Superman fans. Personally, I'd be interested in having a psychologically disturbed, creepy Superman villain but I can imagine large parts of the audience revolting for making Superman even less kid-friendly, and I say this as someone who likes a lot of the kid-friendly Superman projects.

The DCAU Toyman was pretty creepy, and he’s usually been a creep in everything else he’s appeared in. I think you could get away with making him the “Arkham freak” of the bunch.

DCAU Toyman was a disturbed fellow, but Superman: Doomsday Toyman takes the cake. I wonder if Hiro Toyman would be given more consideration.

Speaking of Arkham, Batman's rogue's gallery often get a lot of hype because they're all a bunch of weirdos. Maybe Superman could use a couple.

Banshee is the Queen of Cameos. Never had a single good story to her name, but her design is fantastic and she keeps showing up elsewhere. Someone needs to tell an actual story with her.

I love how Supermans' solution to beating her is to call up Martian Manhunter to pretend to be him .
