Kevin Smith says Strange Adventures (which he wrote for apparently) has been officially cancelled

Smith's episode focused on Jimmy Olsen, Perry White, and Bizarro (who Smith wanted Nicholas Cage to play). The project went silent and was killed by the new WBD leadership. Smith claims the new leadership wants DC projects for theaters first, which we know, BUT they don't want DC streaming shows to complement them.

**** this sucks I would have liked to have seen a proper Jimmy Olsen/Bizarro team up

James Robinson wrote a good one off issue with him, Kurt Busiek did some interesting stuff with him during Camelot Falls, and Venditti used him in Man of Tomorrow, but that’s pretty much it for recent stories with him. Parasite and Metallo are frustrating because I see so much potential in them and they’re long running Superman villains, but neither has a big story focused on them. I’m hoping Metallo will finally get that with PKJ’s upcoming arcs.

Definitely, my recommendation would be this two-parter from the Loeb/McGuinness run...

Something tells me Nick Cage as Bizarro would have been good.

I completely forgot Strange Adventures was even a thing. I think that was back when DC Universe was still a streaming service.

Nice! Would love a stand-alone Bloodsport series but I’d watch pretty much anything. Hopefully this pushes DC to do more with Bloodsport on the comics side too.
