Remember when it felt like Tim's Titans were always on the run from the law? Good times...

Oh okay. That also explains why Pariah can suddenly reach them while they're in Hall of Justice. He can't, but a 5th dimensional imp can, and while the purpose is to never grow up together, it's done by what the imp thinks the 90s was like, not what the YJ3 themselves want. That's why everything's messy. So that makes sense.

But of all the fantasy words son of Mxy could have fabricated, why this one? Where did he get his "insight" from, that he could then choose to twist the past into this "90s but not 90s" version? Would he not have constructed it somehow out of the subconscious of the guys?

It also lends credence to the theory that "our" Cassie is getting bullied by "Cissie" because they're also being manipulated by Mickey. Or at least, here's hoping...

So Cissie is actually possessed or deluded in the present? I guess there have been stories where the imps do that sort of thing.

It *would* tie everything together neatly if all the cringey aspects of the book (the "fantasy 90s world" being verrrry unappealing, Cissie being a strident caricature of a "woke" young woman) were all the doings of "Mr. Mxyptlk's Incel Offspring." It would even be somewhat true to the spirit of the kinds of social commentary the original comic used to dabble in on occasion .

But if that's where this story is going, I'll be impressed 'cause, man, that's a helluva risk to take as a writer - intentionally making the first few issues of your mini-series intentionally OOC and anger-inducing just so's you can pull the switcheroo near the end.

But what a weird story that would be. Fitzmartin and Wielgosz could have told any story they wanted. Mxy could have created a fantasy that didn't paint the '90s and Young Justice this way. If DC is not saying YJ in the 1990s, and Batman, and others who look bad in this story so far, were actually NOT this way - what is the point of making this social commentary the framework of the story? Is she saying "Mxy wants you to think the 1990s weren't cool - but, actually, the 1990s were just fine!"? It's hard to believe that's the message she wants to convey. It seems to me more like "YJ may not remember it this way and are even sure it wasn't like this, but Mxy is here to remind you of the truth."

It's a charged plot framework to set this series, no matter how it resolves. Could have chosen any other kind of world of illusion to throw the guys into.

I mean reveal at the end could be of course Mxyptlk Jr. was just clumsily trying to undo Tim being brain washed by some crazy 5th dimensional Slash Shipper into falling in love with Bernard ...

The girl from Robin looks to be Dary from future State Robin Eternal.

And yes it looks like Bernard's head. Don't know why he is here and so big as Bruce when again he barely exist and so far is no where near as important as Steph, Dick, or Bruce or to Tim's history per se. But Ortega drew it so there is bias going on here
