CBS cancelled it after the first season, so CW, which is half-owned by CBS's owner Paramount, picked it up for five more seasons.

Lmao this is funny, Didio was not a fan of DC making Kara evil four times. He says the last turn during the lead up to Death Metal was the moment where he felt like he might be done with DC because he went to all this trouble to bring her back and no one (according to him) had any interesting ideas on what to do with her. Skip to the 1 hour mark.
