Chris is now just Lor-Zod, is more villainous, and I think closer to Jon’s current age now.

I guess DC is getting ready for him to make the "heroic sacrafice"

Again we can disagree about aging up Jon, I would not have done it but sales-wise it has not hurt.

    SSOKE #15 estimate 34,000
    Super Sons #15 estimated 28,000
Adventures of the Super Sons #12 estimate 18,000 (last issue)

It wasn't about sales, it was about direction. This whole new relaunch seems to be one big return to basis, focusing on old guard. They've tried with the new generation, most of them didn't sell, and also Superman is going back to DCEU, so they needed to shift focus back on Clark. They didn't see a reason to keep main book solely about Jon.

Numbers don't matter to people who are convinced their agenda is the truth.

Where did you get sales? They don't release the numbers anymore.

Besides, for a company that's supposedly done with Kid!Jon, they sure do like bringing him back.

Those are orders sold to store not actual people.

Also what was trade numbers for both those books?

SSOKE on Amazon has it among top 550 on Kindle, Hardcover is top 30 (DC trades) and paperback is low 600s (for DC books) and 2000s overall for trades.
vol 2 is at 560 and comes out next month.
Vol 3 is 360 among DC trades and is not coming out till May 2023.
The last two are hardback ONLY.

Superson final trade is 1000s on Kindle as is the paperback.
vol 2 Free with Kindle and comixology subscriptions and 10000 in paperback for DC (5000 for all books)
vol 1 Free with Kindle and comixology subscriptions and 400s on Kindle and 12000 paperback
Once upon a time these were very popular among kids before Jon got older.

    Damian's Robin trades are #96 (vol 1) and 150 (vol 2)

    SIDEWAYS is number 51.

Jon and Damian's books are the ONLY current in universe DC titles in the top 100 for Dc books on Amazon. Let that SINK in.

The first Super Sons series wasn't cancelled because of sales. It was cancelled because Didio and Bendis wanted to move Jon in a different direction. Granted that could easily be why this Superman series is being cancelled too, because Williamson wants to write Clark.

That said comparing the sales of the MAIN Superman titles to a side title like Super Sons isn't exactly a fair comparison. The main Superman titles should sell more than a spinoff, otherwise something is wrong. The better comparison is how the Jon Kent Superman was selling compared to other Superman runs (maybe Tomasi's is you really want to compare adult Jon and kid Jon). I haven't been following the sales, but based on what was shown above, the answer is not great.
    Currently Reading:

DC: The Flash, Challenge of the Super Sons, Nightwing

Image: Lazarus: Risen, The Old Guard, Black Magick

    Boom: Mighty Morphin', Power Rangers

Yes, but SS got a sequal mini-series of nearly equal length of its original run while SSoK is getting one of less than half of its 18 issues. Seems to me they want something over and done with, and quick.

The point wasn't comparing main or side books..it was merely stating change in direction across board is a habitual thing in dc that leads to cancellations.
