Nothing for Yara in the solicits still. Bummer. Guess we’re going to have to hope she will play a role in Dark Crisis.

As of Trial of the Amazons #2, Yara is officially a Wonder Girl. Diana's the one who gave her the name, despite her protestations that she's a woman and not a girl!

There's also been a slight alteration to her costume. Diana destroyed Yara's one-starred tiara and gave her a three-starred version instead.

Hey, it worked for TV Supergirl...

I'm glad Diana and Yara finally got a moment.

Hmm. Could we have a Wonder Girls book similar to the Batgirls book -- at least in name and concept? I really don't like how DC gets carried away with legacies, but since they do -- may as make use of it.

    This bit was cool:

And Yara not being all that enthused about being “Wonder Girl” made me laugh:

Guess we’ll see what happens in Dark Crisis and if she becomes WW or not.

True, her believing Diana dead would justify her taking the Wonder Woman name. Even though logically it should be Donna who takes it.

Brief aside, is that a black lantern tiara? The one on the very bottom left

I remember she became a black lantern at one point in the story I think when Superman got turned. I think even in the tie-in miniseries she got for that event had her as a Black lantern.

This was because of the plot twist that every hero who came back from the dead counted as people recruitable to be a black lantern.

Everyone who died once became a Black Latern at some point.
She became Star Saphire later in the story too.

So yeah I appreciate the reference but a little concerning that the Amazons just have a headdress for when one of their greatest warriors became a zombie who ripped peoples hearts out.

And let’s not even get into how the Flashpoint helmet is there

(I’m mostly messing around and appreciate a good reference here or there, I really am just questioning the black lantern tiara).
