The second half might be new, but I thought D.G. Chichester's Root of Evil miniseries already retconned her origin to push it back before her going to college. Could be wrong about that, though.

Are you sure about that? I'm pretty sure he mentioned during the NMC interview that he is used to doing multiple projects all at once.
I haven't read a single Batman Rebirth issue, but I will for sure give it a chance once he takes over.

i'm not a fan of Zdarsky's DD run as is, and now I see essentially no way the rest of his run will be good. if only one of his Batman or DD will be good, guess which one it will be. and yes, it will be at most one. the guy's not Frank Miller

Interesting. I don’t come across a lot of those who outright dislike his DD run with no reservations. May ask why?

That it does but it also leaves what it spoils somewhat ambiguous as Elektra does address the obvious questions surrounding the spoiler. I find it tough to believe what is said actually what happened and who did it. I’d think there’d too much at stake to be THAT reckless as to have that name connected in any way.

As for the issue itself, not perfect as Elektra contradicts herself at one point, I think, but I thought it was excellent. De La Tore on art was as superlative as ever. The ending in particular confirms some speculation discussed here about the upcoming Hand storyline. Best story to come out of Devils Reign unequivocally.

Couldn’t be anyone else but I doubt that’s what really happened to him. I’d think something like that would be done in the Daredevil ongoing where he’s more established, not in Devils Reign where he’s only made a single appearance for a few panels.

i don't see matt murdock being killed. but of course if he is, he's coming back, and I guess his religious faith will play into the portrayal of how he was resurrected, etc. If Elektra's handling NYC, give Matt another city.

I think Mike is killed. He’s his twin brother and it just adds up. It just makes me scared. The prophecy Elektra stated to Stick, either Elektra or Matt would have to die to destroy the hand. I thought they’d use Mike instead but if he’s dead… I think it’ll be Elektra.
