If the rumors of him in the yellow suit in the MCU are true, I wonder if they'lll go back to it in the comics as well

It would be an inverse of the comics. Daredevil starts out dark but tries to embrace a lighter direction. Shows that try that often don't work so maybe DD will be the exception?

If they ever do go back to it, I elect Tim Sale to do the honors...

Did you manage to read Diggle's run/Shadowland/Daredevil:Reborn previously?

Nope. I'll get around to it one day.

I finished the first Omnibus. Everything outside the Spider-Man crossover holds up. Waid wrote Spidey like a chump and it's an acquired taste. But Matt and Felicia's dynamic is pretty fun.

The Punisher crossover in the second omnibus could've worked as a potential Defenders season 2.

Waid's first volume (the New York stuff) is top notch. A, easily. Right up there with Bendis and Bru for modern runs. His second volume (San Fran) starts with it's best story and just kind of stutters along from there. I'd give it a B- or even a C+. Overall, call it a B+.

Soule's highs are pretty high, but it's lows are LOW. And it's, as you might guess from my first sentence, inconsistent. I'd probably agree mr. kenway on a solid B. It's not as good as Waid's good stuff, but it's still really solid on the whole. My favorite couple arcs from Soule I'd put up against just about anything DD in the last 20 years, but he doesn't hold that level the whole run.

When you get to the second Omnibus, make sure you read issue #0.1 after Daredevil #36 and before Waid's second run i.e. Daredevil #1 (2014). They were very sloppy with the order in the Omnibuses and OHCs and slotted #0.1 according to publication rather than chronological order. Daredevil #1.50 also reads best at the very end once you've finished the second run. The Indestructible Hulk issues are placed fine. Btw, the Publisher crossover was in the first Omnibus.
