Matt Murdock: Daredevil Appreciation 2022

Honestly I'm divided because part of me wants another Netflix season while part of me is curious how a lighter DD more connected to the other properties would be like.

Well, hopefully "open" doesn't necessarily mean it's a given.

Honestly? The only character I really care to see Matt interact with in the greater MCU is Spidey (and we've already seen that). Like the comics, I've always liked the fact that Matt's world seemed separate from most of everything else going on in the Marvel Universe. It generally makes it seem more grounded, which is the way I prefer DD.

I mean, Spidey chumming around with the Avengers makes sense since the character's such an extrovert and his powers aren't so over-the-top that him going after muggers would seem like overkill. But honestly? Matt always seemed to want to keep the rest of the superhero community at arms length more or less (representing the F4 in court not withstanding, of course).

Oh, and of course I'd like to continue to see him pal around with Luke and Jess. Their interactions were amazing.

I'd prefer it that way, tbh. I read that some sort of Eternals cameo was planned until the showrunners nixed it. I really hope we see that kind of creative control on whatever DD project they have lined up.

Can I ask what cover this is? Looks like Elektra has the old blades back and they look sharp (I am not currently up to date with current Elektra book yet).

I don’t think it’s a cover. Just someone’s art. And there is no current Elektra comic other than her Devil’s Reign tie in and Elektra 100 unless those are what you meant. The tie in was good. Elektra 100 not so much.

I havent seen this duo in years. Sure they teamed up in Savage Avengers but Logan was mostly a poster boy who felt relevant only in first couple issues.

I’m not the most enthusiastic fan of the Netflix show, but credit where it’s due. I appreciate how well they at least improved the mask in season two.
