It's just that Zee needs some of her own cast to grow as hero. Also Constantine keeps replacing Zatanna when the league needs magical assistance.
Like injustice. John is not even a playable character but Tom Taylor has him leading the magical team in his comic. Where's Zatanna? She appears here and there in the back sometimes.
When did Dini write Zatanna and Constantine together?

At least she was drawn well in Injustice:

She was also one of the few characters who didn't get a bad costume.

I miss when they drew women as hot as their cosplayer counterparts.

Writers like him more than Zatanna. Simple as that. She was pretty much his glorified armcandy at one point. Also another thing I've noticed about Constantine is that writers always go out of their way to have him shade and **** on Dr Fate whenever they appear together. I wonder why

Yeah favoritism makes sense. Constantine is one of those characters where it seems like writers always go out of their way to include him and write about. Tom Taylor certainly takes any and every opportunity opportunity to write about Constantine same as with Harley Quinn. Swamp-Thing: Green Hell by Jeff Lemire also has Constantine as the last hero on Earth and the plot magic guy who brings back Swampy so he can save the day.

Shitting on Fade I assume is cause they regard Fate as the "stuffy old fart authority guy" while Constantine is the "young cool snarky rebel guy".

Too bad she had no sense of morality, with her being pro-"Harley did nothing wrong".

This sould be the main basis on how writers write Zatanna and Constantine

It's just so blatantly greedy for Constantine to hug all the spotlight. He now become the sole brain for DC magic while the writers now wank him to become "Heckblazer" with pew pew magic that already filled with Zatanna, Dr. Fate and the others. Not just them, the whole magic folks now just massacred or turned to be cannon fodder for Constantine, alone to rise. If there are Ragman stans, I'm sure they would be very angry. Miss the old day when every magic users got their fair share of cool moments or die honorably

Welp Your Constantine posting honestly could give them more insight on how to make the pairing better. I see some of them actually want to see Zatanna got treated better when she with Constantine.

Great to know that You really love to writing wholeheartedly without being affected by outside thing out of Your control. I mean I can see the passion xd. I'm still on my stance that Your posts deserved to be viewed and thought processed by more people
    Thanks.

Yeah, I've been in fandom long enough to know how bad shippers can be. That said, Tumblr still takes it on another level.

Zatanna has almost always been paired with the writers favorite male character; Batman, Dick Grayson and even Blue Devil during her guest appearance in his title. Constantine is no exception. But in his case he is also magic based, already had a following from Hellblazer and was tied to a significant event in her life (the death of John Zatara). Unfortunately, the pairing has also been corrosive for her character as it has lead to the undercutting of her role as the 'magic specialist' in the DCU as well as cutting down her knowledge, powers and even agency as a character just so John could still play a role.

Everyday Magic. Probably the only good JohnZee content, they weren't written as a couple there but they were believable as colleagues and friends. It's also one of the rare times Zatanna saves Constantine instead of the other way around and her knowledge of magic is shown to be better than his.

Is it for Dark Crisis #4? I saw that earlier and Nakayam's post doesn't say which book it is for. It could be the variant cover for the YJ tie in to Dark Crisis which also has the Zatanna back up in it.

He may have more nuance in his solo title but as one of the posters on here said, he is basically 'Magic Batman' now.

You know how creators like to wank bad ass normal characters like Batman by showing them defeating God like beings? Well, that's John now for the magic side of the DCU. Everyone else is portrayed less competent and less knowledgeable just so he can look cool.

Dark Crisis On Infinite Earths #4 is what I saw. I haven't kept up with Dark Crisis, so I don't know if that's different from the main title or not.

Love the star power effect, it's crazy how much better she looks in that costume with the tophat and her hair down
