Knife is one of prominent items for Magician, lot of magic tricks done with knife like Frontier said. A light and nimble knife combined with Zee Sleight of Hands skill could be a proper choice, like the short sword for Roman Legionary. Although I have a headcanon that Zee use her wand like a baton for close quarter battle, to avoid giving a more fatal wound if using knife.

The solicitation does mention Zatanna but it also mentions Superman and Aquaman. It doesn't sound like a team up issue.

Haven't seen many instances of her wielding a knife or at least, a regular one. We know she can throw a punch though.

Just how proficient do you have to be, to wield a knife? The knife does a lot of the fighting for you.

Well the team that going in the event was Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, John Stewart, Martian Manhunter, Hawkgirl, Aquaman, Green Arrow, Black Canary, and Zatanna (10 members). I guess Black Adam is an external member. So still 10% hopes xd altough we can see a free Upside Down Man if I remember correctly

I say the exact opposite.
We already knew Black Adam would survive because he was never listed as one of the 10 Leaguers being on that last mission in JL #75.
Now Zatanna is one of the 3 of them who doesn't get a memorial statue AND she's the only of them who isn't depicted in this picture of the team from that issue:

They're avoiding showing her because she's the one survivor. BC and Green Arrow's exclusion from the statues may be due to their involvements with Checkmate and TRUST.
