SMWW is always ahead with concepts, trends, representation, diversity…etc. DC needs to catch up in an organic way though.

Starting over would be too late now because the DCEU has to catch up with Marvel as you say, and can't effort spending years to reintroduce "for the first time" each characters to build up a shared universe from scratch. I'm sure WB would prefer waiting to start over if there was no other company being already ahead of them, but it's not the case.

About dynamics... it's only SM that got the short end of the stick in the development of the shared universe. First under Snyder and, now, it seems the trend will keep going.

I mean they are trying to restart sort of. It’s conflicting. Retconning stuff already with adding Keaton, MOS/BVS/JL didn’t happen exactly as it was before now but it’s still messy and leads to more questions. It may not be completely from scratch but it’s like how rebirth started.

It’s true with SM but he is suppose to be lead. We already see Batman is separate regardless and the solid dynamics needed don’t work the same. Superman is needed.

Overall DC wanted synergy and they got it but in a very bad way.
