"Last year, my wife was diagnosed with breast cancer.

I used Wonder Woman as her image of strength in her fight against it and I gave her several pieces of memorabilia (murals, action figures, t-shirts) as reminders to never give up. The lasso of truth is such an inspiration, as we've found that the best way to beat cancer is to arm ourselves with the truth: that cancer is just a bully and it's not going to take over her life.

She's stronger than she has ever been today and she's training to run a marathon. But that's not why I'm posting this in the Superman subreddit.

Today (father's day), she surprised me with a Justice League #12 comic signed by Jim Lee because she says that while she's Wonder Woman, I'm the Superman holding her up whenever she feels like falling (and I'm a lifelong fan of the man of steel). I've never received such a gift in my life. Truth is, however, it's all her and I'm just yelling motivational quotes most of the time."

🥺😭 Every time couples tell of their real life stories and how SMWW resonates with them, I break. What was truly relevant to modern time and actually reached to broader diverse audiences was SMWW but DC wants to continue to ignore or throw it under the bus because it doesn’t align with the tired nostalgia or whatever this current mess is they are stunted with.

The tattoos are always amazing. It means so much to couples, especially representing their wedding bands. The fact that DC refuses to see the value of SMWW that goes beyond the niche of comics and actually evolves with real life couples and families is mind boggling. DC seeks diversity but yet concepts that have a foundation of exactly that, they want to continue to ignore or throw under the bus. They would also rather stay stagnant with uncreative limitations.

SMWW has become more a real life trend lately after DC moved away from it.

So maybe it is official.

What a waste and a mess. It’s not like things are getting better either. It’s just more reliance on Batman. This is what happens jumping too far ahead and putting eggs in one basket closing the door on other possibilities out of spite. That initial thought within rebirth aged like milk for sure.

It can't go worse right? Like DC publishing only BM books? 🙃

This should’ve been the end for new52 if it just had to be forced instead of the hateful BS it was.

Fans are always more creative for this type of things.
