Not only the cover change but the stupid change of their first meeting. Tomasi’s excuse of “no conflict no story” was so weak. Contrived conflict and purposely writing them OOC is no story.
So like I said, they should’ve just cancelled the book when Soule left because that was just awful ruining their dynamic and now we see though the BTS plan and none of that was worth it with DC in the state it’s in now. The pettiness of not only removing their relationship but their friendship as well went way too far just to forcibly regress back to a directionless status quo that made them have to reboot in the first place.

It still piss me off that we didn't get a complete run from Soule. You know, keeping the story in its own continuity like Tom King's BatCat mini or something. Just give me a storyline that has a beginning, middle and end instead of what we got.

This will forever be sad and embarrassing. Especially when “The Batman” producer basically said they didn’t and don’t want a shared universe dealing with other characters outside the the bat verse and it looks like yet again Batman is going to get another step up. Either way Batman wins. But Superman doesn’t have a proper sequel and the actor is still in limbo. Wonder Woman got derailed by her own sequel.

Like you have the most iconic superhero characters and struggling to make a cohesive shared movie universe with them and fumbling with them individually that’s not Batman.

Battinson will be is his own Batverse, while Keaton will appear in every DCEU movie to keep the balance. 😜

Btw, I think WB is going to sort of reinvent both Superman and Wonder Woman (but mostly Superman) in the DCEU moving forward. 🤔

This should be explored especially between Clark and Diana being mentors.

Yeah, ideally they should fill the mentors/leaders roles, and could fill it together.

I mean damn, they could’ve at least had the changes make sense and sales should’ve been better. The way Superman and Wonder Woman rebirth status quos was hailed as some all mighty gold standard of “healing” the franchises from the “evil” “detrimental” SMWW dynamic, I would think they would be beating Batman. But they ended up coming up short and right back to the point of why they rebooted in the first place.

Abrupt changes plagued SM and WW books even before. They are both "messily" handled for decades now. Their relationship was caught into that.
