Him liking anyone is a bad thing. Heteronormativity is the word I wanted to use, but I could find a way to write the sentence without misusing it. Heteronormativity is when heterosexuality is treated as the default and everything else is seen as a deviation. Giving Damian a female love interest when he shouldn't have a love interest is forcing heterosexuality on him when for 15 years he hasn't shown any interest in anybody.
Why shouldn't he?
Damian is 14. He has been around for 15 years 11 of those years he was 10. Him not showing any interest in romance lines up more with him being a kid for for so long and not just any kid but one who is very reserved, his upbringing [he was thought to repress his emotions] and not good at social interactions.
Damian had to unlearn and learn at lot of things. Him having a love interest in the past 15 years would have been unbelievable for the character. he can barely show his true feeling to members of the bat family and he's accustomed to them.
Bear in mind that for the majority of those 15 years, he's been a ten year old boy who barely knew how to interact with anyone in any kind of positive manner, let alone show a romantic interest in someone. And whenever an Else world's story depicted him as being older, he was always with women. In canon, once he became a teenager he showed interest in Flatline, Djinn (horrible as that went, he did acknowledge there was something between them. He didn't define what that something was but it was pretty damn obvious) and, IIRC, he was said to have had a crush on Emiko in Percy's run.
There's not really a lot to suggest him being asexual is more than a headcanon. And like...that's cool. We all got our headcanons. I've always kinda thought Bart Allen is queer. But if something happens to go against that, it's not really DC forcing anything. That's just them having a different vision for their character than what I had envisioned. And that's valid. It's their character. Like how Jon never showed any signs of being attracted to boys until recently, but I wouldn't say DC forced him to be bisexual.
I think we're at a point where it's believable that Damian would be able to express or pursue a relationship (even if you have a different sexual preference for him).
I mean, publication-wise he's been around a like close to two decades now.
Well, why should he? Why does he need to have a love interest? DC had 15 years to insert more than a handful of OOC panels to indicate Damian's interest in romance. Why I see Damian as asexual and get defensive when he's claimed otherwise is just how consistently DC has failed to show Damian in anything romance related and it didn't come off as DC avoiding the topic, but just that it wasn't an area that would be explored with Damian to the point it became a core aspect of his character. All DC had to do was have more moments of Dick (or other characters) teasing Damian about having a crush every time he stands next to a girl (which is by definition heteronormativity). Instead, they chose to do something different with his character by thankfully not doing that.
Batman vs Robin??? What?? That was not a Film?
Ehhh? Not only some people in TWITTER? Even here people is talking about Damian sexuality? Surprised that people is not BORED about this topic that I even see it here. He has only 14.
I can not understand the Interest in characters Sexualities these days neither.. 2 years ago the people was not that focused in this.
It happens something in a comic and people is now talking about if Bruce is Bisexual..
There is something that I can not understand. People wants him in this but... They are not even agree about which sexuality. I saw people asking him to be in at least 4 different sexualities.
Why not accept that everyone is not destined to this? Is DC THAT GOOD with LGBT characters? People says that is making a better work than marvel
I saw female fans call some cases misogynism(show hate against females) for some comments that they readed. Word that I learned this year.

Been a thing for a while now, actually. Worse, lately a ship that's been cropping up more and more, is one between Dick and Damian... Only to be matched by Jason and Bruce.
Don't ask me why, or how, but this is why its usually best to ignore online shippers that make these kinds of things.
Or could they have consistently shown Damian to have interest at developmentally normal levels (whatever the gender) for decades. Damian expressed interest in Katana at 11. Dick teased him about Kara because of how Damian acted, and his body in the panels backed up the interest. In Teen Titans the "tension" was Djinn's interest and Damian's growing interest, along with Djinn and Crush's mutual interest.
More I don't think DC is pushing heteronomity in a family where: best friend-bi, older bother-bi, father-now bi, potential stepmother-bi, mother-polyamorous, new friend-asexual, aunt-gay, family friend-gay, family friend's brother-gay, sister-hinted to be gay...along with friend. Arch villians: Joker-bi, Harley-bi, Ivy-bi. Other older brother: hint of poly. Oldest brother has long term relationship with an alien, which Morrison recently pointed out would mean he was pansexual.
I guess my question would be, why can't Damian be straight and provide representation within his family?
The age difference between then is even crazier than Damijon.. Is like if some people does not want to understand what is have one Older Brother or.. act like if they see Too much Porn..
Jason and Bruce?? I see it even more weird knowing that he failed Jason and Joker killed him. Which kind of love sees people here?
I know... If I did not blocked Damijons I would be unable to see Damianwayne twitter tag without see weird things and sadly that kind of people never ends and new ones appear.
It seems that be a KID is easier.. Despite I can be wrong here knowing that Damijon started shipping a 10 YEARS kid. That is too crazy.
Bro there has literally been nothing in comics to suggest heÂ’s asexual. Your applying your own head canon and getting mad itÂ’s not the route DC is taking.
ItÂ’s pretty normal for him to like girls. There is a ton of representation in comics. Being heterosexual does not make you a worse character.
Yeah.. The Original Damian from Kingdom Come was married and had children. Also universes shipped him with many girls.
And in canon when Puberty reached him he felt attracted by Emiko Queen.. Why a 10 years kid who lived surrounded of assassins should show interest in girls? He needed a change of life and mature for that.

Wow, Dick and Damian is an old ship, since Morrison era. It's gone underground for obvious reason, and Colin and Damian was more popular then Super Sons took over everything. I didn't know it's back, but Jason and Bruce were always there since UTRH, but they're not as popular as JayTim during New 52 or JayDick in general.
