As for the writer, although I don't think Williamson is the best street level hero writer, his Flash run was golden, so I'm happy they've put someone solid on the title.

Why would WB try to do a Green Arrow movie at this point?

Wouldn't too many people just think of it as a TV show still?

(Yes, Flash was a TV show and gets a movie, but he was also part of the Justice League movie and has cool powers. Green Arrow has a bow and arrow, and that may not be as visually exciting to WB studio heads. Maybe if he was in the movie Justice League, but . . . )

You already answered your own question lol. Doesnt matter if he wasnt in Justice League. We went through a million Black Canaries on Arrow yet we still got Dinah in the Harley movie. We have a Superman tv show and have gotten Superman twice on the big screen during tv show runs.

But I never said for a GA movie. They can do a GA movie, they can put in someone elses movie (Black Canary).

I'm not sure I see Hunnman as Ollie, but Gunn went out of his way to mention Green Arrow in Peacemaker so he might show up at some point.
