Daughter.

I mean, the niece dynamic only existed because they needed to explain how Jim had a son but not a daughter in Year One even though she still treated him 100% as her dad. And it was implied he might've been her real father anyways. It's telling that no adaption has ever used the niece angle.

I prefer her and Dick being close in age, especially if they're going to be a genuine romance, but maybe she can be one or two years older. I think she should have about the same age difference with Bruce that Dick does by that same logic.

Definitely prefer Barbara as Jim's biological daughter by marriage (and not by Jim messing around with his sister-in-law!), and definitely prefer Barbara older than Dick but younger than Bruce. Would prefer there to be at least a five-year (or greater) age difference between Barbara and BOTH Bruce and Dick, but I'm more flexible (worn down?) when it comes to Dick.

For the record, I'm old enough to remember when Batgirl (Yvonne Craig) was introduced in the last season of the Batman TV show when it originally aired on ABC.
