Uh-huh. If you want a taste of Derek Landy's writing, there's The Falcon and the Winter Soldier miniseries, collected in TPB as "Cut Off One Head," and more recently, Captain America/Iron Man, which I liked if only because it reminded us that despite all their differences, Cap and Tony work best as friends and comrades.

I may have missed this announcement in the thread, but I just saw that a third Spider-Woman Marvel Masterworks is being released this December. https://www.amazon.com/Marvel-Master.../dp/1302946692

It will feature mostly Steve Leiloha artwork and the first Chris Claremont story. Prior to Claremont, I think Fleisher was the regular writer. His stories were a little better after Leiloha came aboard. I kinda enjoyed the Fly/Hornet stories. Jim Mooney wasn't the best choice of inker for Leiloha during the Fleisher run, but it's better than the artwork from Von Eeden and Frank Springer. I think Al Gordon, who inked one issue during the Claremont run, was the most compatible inker, but in the end they chose Bob Wiacek. Wiacek was a gook inker, but didn't gel as good with Steve's style.

Most MMWs are past the point where I find them worth the price tag, but I'll be picking up the final volumes of Spider-Woman to complete the run.

Let's hope this new Avengers series becomes successful. For the last decade, all the Avengers writers have excluded Spider-Man from their stories. The next book that Jessica should appear in is The Amazing Spider-Man in a reoccurring role as she does in Captain Marvel.

You meant to say Spider-Woman I assume. Spider-Man was in both Hickman's and Waid's runs - Waid used BOTH Spider-Men in fact, as he initially used Miles then replaced him with Peter when he launched Champions.

Spider-Man was not a major character used in their run. They used him, but never in a major supporting role..

Who said he was major? You said he was excluded. Doesn't matter how big his role was, he wasn't excluded. In fact, Waid used him in a pretty major way, as when he joined the team, he also provided a new headquarters. It not his fault they then lost it due to events in ASM's Secret Empire tie-in.

Also, this is Spider-Woman's thread, lol. And she has indeed been excluded from Avengers for a while.

Are they using every spider lady in that film or what? Cassandra Webb, Julia Carpenter, Anya Corazon and Mattie Franklin are all supposed to be there too. In terms of main universe Spider-Women, that just leaves Silk, who's meant to be getting her own film.

Though the rumours even say Uncle Ben Parker is in the film, which I'd say makes them pretty suspicious!
