SCOTT SUMMERS AND EMMA FROST DESERVED BETTER.
I've really been enjoying the Titans United series far more than the Teen Titans Academy, but I do wish the book would give some focus to the New 52 and Rebirth bunch...Bunker, Powerhouse, Speedy, Kid Flash...DC really should have made them the focus of the Academy book with a couple of new characters rather than all new (and boring) characters.
Now if they would just continue the United series.
Titans United had a rough start for me. Not a huge fan of Jason being there or the fact that he feels closer to his TV show counterpart than his comics one, but he's gotten less obnoxious with each issue so I guess I'm fine with it. And I'm glad the use of Hawk and Dove has been kept to a minimum. In spite of some nitpicks, this book is still the best piece of Titans content that we've gotten in a LONG time. This is the stuff we should be getting in the main universe, rather than the dull train wreck that TTA quickly turned into.
I really wish I could agree with this but I honestly find a lot of them to be just as bad as those new characters (or worse in some cases). I hate Wallace and Roundhouse, I'm indifferent towards Emiko, and I've tried to see what everyone else sees in Bunker but...I just don't understand how he became so popular. Unless it's just from him being the only part of the New 52 Titans that didn't suck.
Aside from those Batkids, Billy and Miguel (Dial H) were pretty much the only students I cared about and they were underutilized as fuck. Not that I'm complaining too much in Billy's case since I feel like he shouldn't have been there to begin with.
what trade paperbacks are currently in print for the 1980s era stories?
