Yeah, he does not appear since before the New 52 was even a thing, and no one cared.
Probably cause he is not a character that sparks conversation.

You do know in some cases EDITORS can and do restrict who can be used in a story.

Just because you don't care doesn't mean no one else does.

Because they could easily do that mess to Nightwing like they did with Wally West, Cassandra Cain and other others that got tossed away for years.

We have plenty of popular guys sitting on the sidelines.

There are plenty of one off guys that could have been used instead of Risk.

If this is what the Teen Titans have become fodder to cheap death-why bother with the franchise??

It becomes a magnet for bad writers and death fodder for events.

Risk is not a popular guy sitting on the sidelines. I doubt the editors would restrict any writer to use Risk.

I don't know about any of you, but I've alwaysiked Risk, he is on my long short Titans list, and has been since he was created. I have been waiting for him to comeback, maybe give him a story angle where he has to learn how to do hero things in other ways, without using his super strong arms.

They aren’t in the business of pandering to the minority. Just because their might be one person who might care about a character doesn’t make them untouchable or above harm. Risk isn’t popular by any metric, nothing about Risk justifies that he’s above being used like this. Teen Titans doesn’t live on the backs of characters like Risk, and if it did there would be no point of bothering with the franchise. It’s a false comparison comparing Risk to the likes of Wally, Cass, or Nightwing. It’s quite frankly demeaning to those characters to even try and pretend they are anything even close to comparable.

Can’t say I was a fan of the series, but I’m kind of glad it existed just so we can maybe put to bed the idea of them as teachers.

The fucked up part is, I actually think this COULD have been a great idea. The premise kinda reminded me of Johns' Titans run back in the early 2000s (both my favorite Titans run, and the run that got me reading comics in the first place).

But, holy shit, TTA fucked up the execution almost from Day 1.

That art also implies that Dick became Nightwing younger, because Wally is still Kid Flash. He left the team and retired just before Dick became Nightwing, and only returned to action in the Crisis when Barry died.

It has been down to characters lower and higher than Risk.

So unless you ask every single writer or employee at DC-you don't know.

Writers are only allowed to use who editorial lets them use.
