I always like Circe’s dark magenta hair versus the pastel purple perm she got later.

Even the pastel purple was better than the crimson red look she got later.

Think she wore that outfit for like...2 pages?

Jimenez had her change clothes just about every page, lol. Only thing consistent was her hair stayed purple.

Me too, it makes her unique in DC.

It also makes me think of Morgan LeFey over at Marvel too, who is another good witchy type of character.

Enh makes sense for the character TBH. She's an ageless witch over 2000 years old... she can and has used her powers to change clothes on a whim.

Morgan Le Fay was a purple haired ancient sorceress who wore a green dress and became one of the main villains of a major superheroine (Spider-Woman [Jessica Drew]) who in the seventies was a major female character that Marvel used to push constantly, not just through her comic book, but through merchandising...she had Icee cups, underoos, and even dolls.

Right??? I miss over-the-top femme Circe. 24/7 beat face, long purple hair, gorgeous outfits, drag queen vibes. Phil Jimenez knew she should be camp.

Tbh her sexless modern iteration is just another remnant of the de-queerification of Diana's mythos.

    ... It is?

Granted she looks less feminine, but is it accurate to say she is less queer?

I’m always worried for super villains who go barefoot. I hope their tetanus shot is up to date.

    This!

I don’t mind Circe changing up her fashion. I think it suits the character.
