Wonder Woman has been one of those titles that has historically had a very hostile editorial directive that drove artists away from the book--from Perez on, many creatives talk about how much they love Wonder Woman and how much some people with power loathe her--or if they don't loathe her, they don't think she's important enough to matter.

Yeah, you could probably write a book of all the editorial interference in the WW title from Perez in the 80s up to Rucka walking out on DC because of EO.

Still really dig this as a look for Circe.

Le Grand Dame, The Cheetah. This is from Gail Simone and Nicola Scott's fabulous Secret Six #3. When everyone else was playing Cheetah for a chump whenever see appeared outside of the pages of Wonder Woman, Gail Simone knew what was up.

Gotta give Barbara credit... she tried. Carnage happened anyways, but she gave them the option to not get their asses handed to them.

I know I've made my opinion on the look very clear, but I thought it was fine for an initial appearance where she doesn't go all out or is trying to make a splash, but it doesn't make sense for Circe's go-to look.

(Because when I think of Circe, I think of some casual lady with short hair and a chestplate armor ).

I also liked that time she made Cheetah a member of the council of mystics in the New 52. It's extremely rare to see her used as anything other than a hired muscle.

Cheetah should be on the council of evil archaeologists or the 'evil red heads? Or a support group for 'I have a PHD but the best I can do is be a super villain'.

Quite possibly one of the greatest portrayals of Cheetah… One that I go back to and reference most often at least.
