Maybe if they'd picked up that Wonder Girl series starring Yara. Artemis and Cassie would've probably both been in it considering their roles in Yara's comic.

As I suspected, Artemis killed Hippolyta. However, if you remember in that Bana-Migdhall back up, she met with the council of elder Amazons who asked her to do something (that we now know was to kill Hippolyta), for the greater good of the Amazons. Hippolyta was part of that council, so she knew it was coming. Artemis sacrificed her reputation and safety to save the Amazons. It's all there in the text.

But how did her death “save” the Amazons…and save them from what? That part doesn’t make any sense. If Hippolyta dying somehow helped the Amazons (or this story for that matter) why not have her die in battle defeating Chaos? The only thing her death contributed was a messy and unnecessary murder mystery that took up over half of what could have been a much more interesting story.

Hippolyta's death brought everyone together, it was the catalyst for the three tribes of Amazons uniting as one.
