In fairness Jen does to generally be portrayed as more in control of her Hulk state compared to Bruce.

The issue is just the general direction Bruce has taken where he has little to none of the traits fans associate with him like his epic rage and strength. He now comes across as honestly weak and puny not helped by how downright lazy he acts like, as if the dude is on anti-depressants.

I'm kinda surprised that Banner's fully healed. I thought for sure that they'd need him crippled to keep him out of future movies.

This is the drawback of live action movies, really. Isn't Mark tired of playing Hulk?

Not like he has anything better to do, and a paycheck is a paycheck.

Wonder if She-Hulk might take his place on the Avengers. After all in the comics she's been with several versions of the team while he hasn't, despite being a founding member (He's done a few temporary jobs with the team but has never really stuck around like his movie counterpart).

Yea already know how this ends, just kill/retire Hulk already. He is literally MCUs dead weight.
Ehh, I doubt it.. there's a Caveman looking guy to the left of him. Besides, if so, it's missing the Star Brand and since all the other prehistoric avengers details are correct, it looks like it's Ross's Red Hulk.

As far as MCU Banner goes, the rumor I remember hearing is..

    spoilers:

By the end of She-Hulk, Skaar arrives and Bruce leaves the planet to help him save Sakaar. (not looking forward to Hulk Conan.. if you think they handled Hulk badly now imagine cliched angry kid jokes and edgy swords and tattoos.. blah!)

World War Hulk would be just a title, not a literal adaptation of the storylne.. just elements of it. Bruce did want a kid as established in Avengers 1&2. Maybe when they return they think he's another alien invasion like the Chitauri and kill him which triggers Bruce who launches an attack on those responsible which causes the Avengers to be called in which escalates things and Bruce goes Hulk mode and ends up having to be stopped for good.
    end of spoilers

She definitely will, wonder if she will get treated better than he did. At least Jen is a better fit for the kind of cringe humor the MCU loves.

It will not be far away when these will backstab the entire MCU. Not just Love and Thunder

I would imagine that's when they reveal the healing properties of the Hulk and he makes the decision to give her a blood transfusion to heal her body. Since he's got the transformations under control he isn't worried about her turning into a monster. That being said, he probably has her in observation to make sure she doesn't go ill/turn into a monster.. and when she appears as She Hulk for the first time he feels obligated to train/guide her since he got his transformations under control.
Well, looks like we got the answer to this question now..

Bruce (with arm in the sling) is in the car with Jen when they veer off the road and she gets his blood in hers.

Presumably that's why his arm heals back as well. I wonder if Blonsky's new form gets similarly explained.

Ya know thinking of Immortal Hulk, man its clear Ewing had plans for a longer run but he had to end it shorter.

Like how Namor showed up in that issue after Bruce takes over shadowbase and indicates some kind of alliance between the 2, only for Namor to not appear again for the rest of the book.

Or how Bruce's leadership of shadowbase and war against humanity only lasted for one arc in the battle against Roxxon and after that it felt like the gas pedal got slammed into the final arc.

Its these little things that never really got followed up on that makes you think he probably had a lot more plans.

June 17th 2020, Joe Bennett spilled the beans that the book was ending at 50. By that time we were on hiatus cuz of covid after issue 33 had dropped in March. Ewing was coy but was always firm on ending on nice number. Ewing could have stayed on as long as he wanted. But by end he was ready to be over being associated with Joe. To the point now interviews he’s even wary discussing the run it seems.

Yeah, IH ended just in time. If it was solicited past 50, they'd have had to change the artist anyway due to Joe being disgraced.

Maybe he did, or maybe that's how things roll.

Everything has to be trade-shaped these days. Peter David could do some slice of life with his supporting cast, but not these days

Oooof that is unfortunate. Bennet certainly shit the bed alright.

What a waste of God given talent.

I remember that the Leader storyline-which wrote Devil and Bruce out of the book until pretty much the end-pretty much kicked in around the time of Covid.

Human Joe and the weakened Savage gave us some pretty good issues though, really liked the Joe/Thing issue in the dinner. It was also kind of a dynamic we hadn't really seen before, with Joe, despite being weaker physically, in the role of a protective older brother to Savage.
