For real, but it's a story that I'm glad was depicted.
Same. I did like the overall idea presented in this second run of Mephisto trying to corrupt and demoralize the next generation of heroes, but it was somewhat iffy after the s***storm that was One More Day that it had to be another Spider-Man who made his own literal Faustian bargain. At least this wasn't swept under the rug, though.
The spider is always on the hunt.
I could see Miles probably calling up Doctor Strange to help him resurrect the girl (who was unintentionally killed by his wish to bring his friends back).
If failing that then maybe he can make another deal with Mephisto in bringing that girl back to life by playing B-Ball with an undead basketball player one-on-one in order to do that...without powers. It's an arrangement I think Mephisty might come up with just so the stacks can be to his favor.
But, then again, the rest of the Champions could help him out. Whether by cheerleading for him, coaching him or going out of their way to play ball in Mephisto's court with an all star roster of other undead basketball players regardless if it results in them losing their powers while playing that devil's game. ...And with the added risk on losing their souls to the Master of Malice.
