Most of the Champs would probably have their mentors impersonated by the judge, yeah. So Tony for Riri, Janet for Nadia, Sam Wilson for Joaquin, Bruce for Amadeus, and Vision for Viv. Snowguard would probably get Guardian or Snowbird from Alpha Flight - the two heroes Amka named herself after. The only one who wouldn't get a mentor as their judge is probably Pinpoint, as he isn't a legacy hero like most of the team.

I sometimes forget she's supposed to be Tony's protege because they barely ever, if at all, focus on it.

Yeah. Basically, Slott and Cantwell didn't use her, and Duggan is finally picking up where Bendis left off. At least she did have her own book and Champions in the mean time.
