I’m overthinking this now and I have very morbid sense of humour so I’m starting to see a bit of a funny side to this. More ridiculous really, the mutants just seem straight up incompetent at this point, leaving bodies everywhere. Orchis have been scooping up corpses like it’s discount candy after Halloween to a point they decide to use Nightcrawler as decoration.

‘Grunt: hey boss we found this mutant body on the moons surface, where do you want it? I think we have some room in storage next to Wolverine 6.5.
Feilong: No! Let’s keep him here, his fur matches the office aesthetic!’

I know this panel is meant to be disturbing even if Gerry did chuck it in as a throwaway moment and in other circumstances it would be (Like what happened to Domino) but death doesn’t matter anymore. I know Kurt is alive and well and is busy growing out his facial hair. How am I meant to interpret this as a reader? I’m actually more interested about what would happen if Kurt found out.

‘ So, in the first 12 issues, the "plan" is to go through all members of the Council. If that ever gets in the way of the story though I won't do it. My hope is to continue it for a while. It allows us to show what a character is like and what they want. Knowing what all these different people want and how they rub against one another, is just great drama. We know people and then we understand why they're digging their heels in, so, that will be a big part of the structure of the book.’

It would be great if they manage to do this, I’ve really wanted to see Nightcrawlers perspective of the council and all their back handed dealings and questionable decisions! I don’t expect him to be in the book much but any insight would be great.

Most likely, the preview images of the book shows him with his regular hands although I wouldn't mind because it's an AU. I'm loving the earrings too, the whole design is great. Shame he's missing an eye but the eye patch is cool.
