I had forgotten had good David Aja's art could be. I'd argue that he'd achieve greater artistic success during his Hawkeye run, but we could see the beginnings of that in his Iron Fist run. He could do dynamic or mundane. Plus I loved the close up panels as well:

"I am a man of peace."

"A man of peace...who fights like ten tigers."

Still wanting for when an Iron Fist can wield a chi-infused weapon again:

"I am a man of peace."

"A man of peace...who fights like ten tigers."

Agreed. The artwork of David Aja is to be commended. Still a fan of his Daredevil, though...

That series made Aja my favorite comic artist provided he can take his time on the art and not rush it like he did on Hawkeye to get the book out on time. In Immortal Iron Fist they had different artist draw the flash back scenes to compensate for Aja's speed. Plus don't forget Hollingsworth colors in that series; simply exquisite.

Perfect examples of Hollingsworth's wonderful coloring.

I think Pasqual Ferry may be my favorite Iron Fist artist…:

^^^He had great eye for keeping Danny’s costume familiar while updating it. Little touches like gloves/forearm guards, the knee/shin guards were really nice.

^^^He made Danny’s Iron Fist look dynamic.

^^^He made Danny’s MA moves flow and look impactful. I’m a sucker for characters not being in full costume all the time (one of George Perez’s best tactics in the original New Teen Titans) and Danny is one of those characters it works really well for.

Yeah, his redesigns were really underrated, imo.

So much better than the horrible tracksuit design of recent years.

Rereading the TPB, I'm not sure if Pascual had an influence on Aja's work. In the behind the scenes section of the TPB, Aja mentions that he he and Ed Brubaker worked out the details, like collar or no collar, wide pants or cinched pants. What had to chance was certainlly the slippers. They went for ninja type boots. Still, no mention of Pascual. Personally, I think the 1998 Heroes for Hire book influenced Aja's designs. There overall aesthetic is there.

What Aja definitely didn't like was the track suit look. He even made sketches to show how crappy they'd be. And yet we got it later on .

As for Hollingsworth's coloring, I agree, I can see that with the Aja's work on Iron Fist versus his work on Hawkeye. There seems to be more texture in Iron Fist than in Hawkeye.

Hawkeye's art had an emphasis on graphic design, his Iron Fist art had a more sketchy feel to it.

The majority won't agree, but these three artists are my choices for drawing Iron Fist (the modern-day version):

    Carlos Pacheco

    Pasqual Ferry

    Kaare Andrews

He does a great everyone, actually.

I always felt Carlos Pacheco was BORN to draw Hawkeye, though.

Since Danny no longer wields the Power of the Iron Fist what should be next for him?

I'm not sure there's anything they CAN do. He's a cultural appropriation character and they got complaints when, despite that being comic accurate, a white blond guy was cast as Danny for the TV series. I think that's why Lin Lie has taken over the mantle. Best we can hope for is that Danny features in any stories starring either his replacement Lin or his best buddy Luke.

Be in a skill-specialist tournament fight for fun. No Iron Fist (until he gets it back), but still a strong skilled fighter.
