How confusing! So she is not a horrible villain-most wanted? Dark X-Men? X-Force? I think she will end up with her own Academy and an X-Force approach to mutant issues... I wonder who will follow her.. I hope Dazzler. They have potentiatl together. And maybe some proper character development for the Cuckoos... who else?

All of this. I'm happy she'll be leading a team (I assume it will include the Cuckoos, Dazzler and probably Magik at least) and that there will be focus on her still fighting for mutants and not as their antagonist. I really hope it continues as a team book or leads to a solo after SE.

The cover is cool, but seeing more of that costume, I REALLY don't like it. It's not even that it's revealing, that's fine for Emma. It just looks silly/stupid and it's hard to take her seriously when wearing that.

Then again, she hasn't had a good costume since before AVX, so perhaps I shouldn't be surprised.

And sorry, still not really excited for this "new direction." They haven't given me any reason to be so far.

mmm that would surprise me.. Uncanny is usually the flagship.. Emma and Magik are big but they would need another big name.. basically Storm or Magneto.. with poor Scott and poor Charles out of the picture.. who else? It would bet for X Force

I kinda wonder how significant this United one shot will tie into secret empire the other two uprising and underground are apparently very much connected into the core story of secret empire and with the X-men having a role to play in secret empire as shown with X-men gold tying in as well it would interesting to see how intertwined they really are Jim zub will also be writing uncanny avengers so that may also build off of United.

Regardless it seems if you want to read United you'll probably have to read secret empire the core series by spencer to make sense of things since you'll probably be lost without context.

This is awesome! Thanks for sharing. I'm really interested now to see what Marvel is going to do with Emma. At first I was afraid that they were going to make Emma straight up villain but now... maybe thats not the case. I was all ready looking forward to Secret Empire but now seeing Emma is playing a role in the series I'm now really interested to see how this works out. And not only that but she is even going to have her own X-men team, I wonder how thats going to work out? Either way I'm definitely getting this.

I don't like the outfit not surprised they went with the outfit. Sex sells and Marvel is not going to stop putting female characters in revealing costumes. Even if while escaping and going into hiding she knocked out a porn actress and stole her outfit. What will help Emma or at least salvage her villain turn is writing the character like Magneto was in his solo series.
