Default Poison Ivy Appreciation 2022 (DC swears THIS will be her year)

It's a new year, meaning new promises from DC editorial for Poison Ivy's future. She was built up to play a big role as Queen Ivy in 2021

Only for it to be a B-plot in the Fear State arc and for her to reunite with Harley, which... a month later...

So we are back to square one in a repetitive cycle that has trapped the character ever since the Rebirth era began. There's been a new editorial note for a new year, this time in the Ivy story in the Gotham City Villains Anniversary Special by G Willow Wilson and Emma Rios, hinting at a new series maybe? With Wilson hinting on Twitter that she's involved too.

    So here we go again.

On a brighter note, the character has shined in recent AU stories like her first YA graphic novel Poison Ivy: Thorns, the Harley Quinn animated series spin-off comic Harley Quinn: The Eat, Bang, Kill Tour, Catwoman: Lonely City and she will appear in Dark Knights of Steel. On the adaptation front, the much anticipated Harley Quinn Season 3 will FINALLY be airing this year and the creators have reiterated increased focus on Ivy this season, so that's gonna be exciting.

What are your hopes and dreams for the Queen of Green in 2022?

Bridget Regan's Poison Ivy costume on Batwoman seems to be very inspired from the Arkham games

    Albeit more classy .

Honestly that's not half-bad. I never would have thought of a red jacket but it works surprisingly well.

I'm just glad she has a costume. Both Ivy's look good.

I think they look decent for TV budgets. I appreciate them actually having costumes.

Looking forward to Ivyís solo, even if itís just a mini. (Iíll ignore the annoying Harley Ivy break up make up cycle)

Ivy in a trench coat and boots does not make any sense. And the fabric looks so bad. I really dislike them. But I guess Pamela’s
At least has some more details that make sense.

She's worn boots in various incarnations so I don't really mind that. For a TV budget I think it works.
