I was just re-reading Poison Ivy: Thorns and thinking it's both a good YA book re-imagining Ivy, a good Gothic (queer) Romance, and a pretty good Poison Ivy origin story.

...I have to say I'm not a fan of Ivy's skin tone here, and it's not just me preferring her to have either peach or pale skin... there's green and then there's corpse green.

I too prefer skin color but I feel like this green differentiates her from Gamora's color palette more.

Now that the Aqualad YA book is being made into an HBO Max mini-series, may as well adapt Poison Ivy: Thorns into an atmospheric and creepy little gem of a live action mini-series as well. Or a whimsical, darker version of a Studio Ghibli-esque animated film. The surly Goth kids deserve to be fed too.
