Wonder Man is one of my favorites. I really liked him from the start. Fantastic in the Avengers West Coast of John Byrne. And I think I'm one of the few who love his relationship with the Scarlet Witch, I like her more with him than with the Vision.

And by the way... do you remember the scene between him and Dark Wanda in Avengers West Coast ? Byrne is the nightmare of the Comics Code Authority

I am not a fan of his original costume--or any of his costumes with green in them. Maybe if they re-did the original costume in black and red instead of green and red I'd like it better? I dunno.

My favourite remains his Perez-designed outfit from AVENGERS vol.3. It was a nice modernizing of his classic WCA-era black-and-red costume, and looked more formal/less casual than the tank-top style of the WCA uniform, while still keeping the bare arms to show off Simon's muscle.

On a different note, its interesting that they are reprinting the AVENGERS TWO: WONDER MAN & THE BEAST mini as a MARVEL TALES one-shot. I wonder if that is in support of some upcoming new project for Simon and/or Hank? These sorts of MARVELS TALES reprint books have often been done alongside the launch of new material for the characters involved -- they did one last month reprinting some of the early THUNDERBOLTS stories, just as the new T-BOLTS mini launched, and they did one for the first arc of Peter David's CAPTAIN MARVEL series around the same time they brought Genis back from the dead.

Its an improvement, imo, for sure. I'd like it better if they lost the mask. I prefer Simon without a head covering. He can still have the red shades he often wears if they want to keep the visual of that red visor.

I guess no one wants to comment on -- or no one has seen -- the small story on CBR earlier in the week in which it is rumored that the actor who plays Black Manta in the Aquaman films is being considered for the role of Simon Williams. I don't know enough about the actor to know if he is right for the role, but I am definitely disappointed that he won't look like Simon Williams from the comics. Of course, that is always the case for me. I didn't even watch CW's the Flash, because the actor looked nothing like the Barry Allen I knew.
