Ha that’s if he actually lucky. At best he shows up on a list of most useless characters 10 years from now and everyone has flash of his character and then immediately forgets him. He’s a troll character on the readership thats it he offers nothing because he’s basically worth nothing.
Another leak is that a spoilers:end of spoilers
teased villain from Wells run appears in the issue, and that the death is 'kind of funny'
It would not be the first time Slott has meddled with someone's run in a fashion like this. Franklyn Richards anyone?
Any excuse for Slott to further along his Jeckyle/Hyde writing for MJ.

I can believe a villain from the Wells run appears, and even that a character has a death that is "kind of funny," but it won't be Paul. Wells and Editorial would never allow that. And Slott wouldn't undercut Wells' run like that. They were BND writers together. And the idea that Wells and Editorial would allow that to happen in a Spider-Verse event makes no sense at all.
Slott and Wells might have planned that from the beginning. If this spoiler is true, it's pretty much obvious.
On a somewhat happier side note, we've made it to 200 pages of the Mary Jane Watson(-Parker) Appreciation Thread of 2022.
The spider is always on the hunt.
The new Spider-Verse story looks so mid.

I'm sure all the spiders transformed into monsters will be alright. They overplayed their hand showcasing the characters who are appearing in the Spider-Verse movies, and Mayday, as transformed right away. And yeah, I think Mayday's going to show up in a Spider-Verse movie at some point so she stands right alongside Gwen, Noir, and (already confirmed for the sequel) Punk.
Might be a minor spoiler for later, I just read on Frenz's facebook that

He's been told Mayday has reverted back to Spider-Girl now than Anya has switched back to Arana

It's all about merchandising. That's why all these characters have new names and aren't "Spider-Man" or "Spider-Woman."
Anya is Araña again so the Spider-Girl name is free. Thus Mayday goes back to it. Marvel has a "Spider-Girl" they can sell merch of.
And as we see in the leaks for the new Spider-Verse event.
spoilers:end of spoilers
We do see monster Mayday in a shot with monster versions of Gwen, Noir, and Punk. Gwen and Noir were in the first Spider-Verse movie and merchandise indicates Punk will be in the second. Kind of interesting company, huh?
