She apparently skinned Banshee and wore his skin as a cover to fool the gates to let her into krakoa in one of those Wolverine minis, life or death of wolverine. So I would not put it past marvel. Also there's a joke here to be made about Wells writing MJ, man, keeping promises to myself is hard...

In-universe there's little reason for her to not have done this to MJ as well, specially since Moira never met MJ before, and she didn't hesitate to do this with Banshee, who she did know, out of universe, MJ has a stronger plot armor than the usual Krakoan who tend to get die if they stub their toes too hard.

It's a possibility but it's not confirmed yet what Moira did with MJ, given that she's a robot now (Unlike when she used Banshee's skin), she could have more options than wearing MJ's skin, and when she attacks MJ, she says "When ye next wake up", implying she's not killing MJ.
