I can see it as MJ has the watch and doesn't want to use her powers and then someone wants to be the new Jackpot character and then you have showdown between the 2 and Spidey is involved.

Nobody cared when they did Jackpot before and revealed it wasn't MJ. It was like everybody lost interest as soon as that happened.

If they were going to go for Jackpot again, it would have to be MJ (or it as part of MJ's journey to becoming Jackpot).
