As usual, Brian Cronin brings us the news that matters.

I think it really just depends on the comic, the event, and the execution.
They shouldn't have to, but I think it should be expected within a shared universe and not have to be as distracting if the writing is up to snuff. Lot of books I love managed to play off what was going on in the wider DCU very well.
The grey hair did nothing for the character other than make him feel even more like a relic of the past. Which was the point I guess.
Hal makes last page appearance in latest GL issue. From my understanding he was in regular contact with Jo all the time so he wasn't ignoring the situation like it could be assumed from his earlier appearances in this run.
Yes and no.
Small spoiler: Thorne goes a bit into Morrison's territory with Hypertime so it is basically something that could have happened and maybe happened in some universe, but it definitely didn't happen in ours.
Yeah, while the Yellow Lantern thing with Jessica Cruz came to pass, it looks like Hal's and John's Future States aren't set in stone.

Thorne at least knows how well Hal can make an entrance .
Is this the first time Hal and Wally have been in the same page in forever?
"It's fun and it's cool, so that's all that matters. It's what comics are for, Duh."
Words to live by.
It's odd because Flash in the JL vs Legion story clearly seems to be Barry despite that he's supposed to be rather incapacitated right now, yet Hal isn't there and neither is Martian Manhunter or Hippolyta(since Diana is there). Yet here you see all 3 of them as well as Wally instead of Barry. If I had to guess it's just different JL teams doing different things. Or maybe Hal is just part of the "reserve" members or something.
