Well, you can't say Hal Jordan wasn't a big part of Grant's personal journey.

I think it was really obvious in some of those issues that Morrison's "swan song" from comics was clearly referenced on more than one occasion. Or the instances of calling out other creators on some of their nonsense like how would Hal Jordan of all people not know what willpower is. Grant went out only how they know to go out and respected the character in the process. I'm grateful for that.

Hal apparently was tapping into the Cosmic Grail from the Morrison run this entire time. Of course a magic arrow gets in the way and we will see if he keeps that power up but there is your explanation of why Hal is still a lantern after the Battery blew up.
